Empirical/RTM Models for the Estimation of Vegetation Parameters and Flux Measurements.

Original and transformed reflectance (from field, airborne and satellite sensors) will be related to vegetation parameters to provide a better understanding of the relationships between both datasets. After that, empirical methods based on statistical analysis will be applied to estimate vegetation parameters from spectral information.

On the other hand, the inversion of radiative transfer simulation will be applied to retrieve vegetation and soil biochemical/structural properties from imaging spectrometry data. Vegetation biophysical parameters estimated with RTMs could be used as an input for modeling land-surface processes, in terms of water, carbon and heat fluxes.
